Perrego Prevails in Birthday Bash

The Big Block Super Dirt Series followed the 358s onto the track tonight at Eldora for the longest race on the schedule this season. Immediately Zack Passen would make a statement and set fast time ahead of Josh Kotten and Bobby Sweeney. He’d have some work to do as the night went on though. Trevor Williams would dog him in the heat, leading 4 of the 10 laps before finally ceding to Passen. Heat 2 would see Brandon McDonald get a good jump but being quickly dispatched by AJ Albreada. He in turn would fall to Anthony Perrego, whod run away for the heat 2 win. Bobby Sweeney and Brad Dyer would throw slider after slider on each other in heat 3, before Dyer would finally fall back and Sweeney would pull it off. Heat 4 saw Matt Yorker destroy the field for an easy win. Brennan Weeks would win the C-Main and Ron Pyles would pull off the B, leading us all to the feature. Zack Passen would start pole with big block standout Anthony Perrego right along side. He’d get out to lead lap one but Perrego would throw a haymaker slider and defend the cross-over to take the lead. From that point on, Perrego was out for blood. Passen, Sweeney and Yorker would try their best but no matter what Perrego had them covered. Pyles and Perry were catching up to the pack, witih Albreada and Daeffler holding suit fighting for a top 5. It was just all about Perrego. The chrome 44 Superior Remodeling Bicknell was just too strong. He’d lead a dominating 74 laps to win the Birthday Bash at Eldora!
