What an adventure, but at the end, the old guy shows the young kids how its done. Travis Wall would take the pole for his second pole in 3 races, and lead a lap off the rip. From that point forward, it was almost a different leader every corner. Miles Crabbe would lead a bunch, with Steve Bevacqua and Greg Netherwood. Netherwood would lead a race high 25 laps, but a terrible speeding penalty with pit mate Chris Cable would more or less end their race after halfway. With Crabbe leading the way over the majority of the last 15 laps, it was a battle with Josh Kotten, Wall, Wilson, Trevor Williams, and Owen Clark. A wreck on the first green white checkered with Chris Cable would lead to a second go of a G-W-C. With Crabbe leading still, Owen Clark jumped to the outside with Perry pushing him. Down the back stretch it was door to door, and through 3 and 4 it was anyones race. Off of turn 4, Clark would move down and Crabbe would move up, and they’d meet in the middle sending both into the wall. Just like at Daytona, Bruce Perry was suddenly the benefactor, but this time with a working engine! It wasnt over, though. Wilson and Wall made it by the spinning Clark and Crabbe, and were charging! But they couldnt make it, and Perry would finally get the win! His 1st of the season, and his 28th career CARS victory, 3rd all-time on the charts!
